Jason cook

Jason, oddly enough found his love for climbing while living in Chicago. After gain experience and credentials Jason started a guide service based out of the Chicago area (now defunct, Chicago Rock & Ice Guides) in 2011 where he guided clients at throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota. Fast forward several years, Jason moved to the Twin Cities metro and the Chicago based business was challenging to operate at distance and he partnered with Maggie to found a similar guide service and equipment rental business.

Jason has climbed (ice, rock and mountains) extensively around the country and few locations internationally including Canada, Peru and Iceland.

Jason received his B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 2006 and an MEng degree in Structural Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2006. He’s a practicing, licensed professional engineer in Minnesota and Utah with an emphasis in structural condition assessments and concrete restoration. He works for a highly regarded structural engineering and design company in Minneapolis.
